Villagers are characters in the game that a player can interact with at each location and invite to their campsite.
- Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp refers to these characters as "animals" and is the only game in the franchise so far to not use "villagers". For consistency across this wiki and the game series, the term "villager" will be used unless directly quoting the in-game text.
Actions[ | ]
A player can interact with a villager to increase their friendship and receive gifts from them.
Outside Player's Campsite[ | ]
- Speaking with the Villager: 2 Points
- Speaking with the villager only rewards friendship EXP once in a three-hour cycle. Can only be done when visiting the villager at a recreational spot.
- Favorite clothing - Villagers may ask for the player's help deciding between 3 pieces of clothing. Regardless of whether chosen correctly, there will be a small chat and the player will receive friendship points.
- Alternatively, a villager may just have a conversation with the player.
- Speaking with the villager only rewards friendship EXP once in a three-hour cycle. Can only be done when visiting the villager at a recreational spot.
- Completing Requests: 2-10 Points (depending on rarity of items requested)
- These requests refresh every 3 hours (Starting at 6:00 AM UTC) with a max of 3 per hour, unless a Request Ticket is used.
- The amount of points received may increase during special events such as the Host the Most event, which gave an additional point when completing requests.
- Using Request Ticket on a Villager: 3 Points
- Using Calling Card on a Villager: 1 Point
At Player's Campsite and Cabin[ | ]
- Villager Interaction (Campsite only): 5 Points
- Occasionally, there is a chance that tapping the villager will zoom in on the them and briefly pause before proceeding to a conversation scene with them, skipping the normal villager menu.
- Speaking with the Villager:3-6 Points
- Gift and Friendship Points (Campsite only) - A villager can gift a player 500 / 2,500 Bells or materials (mostly their primary craft material and essence - higher level villagers may also gift secondary craft materials too), as well as earn friendship points with that character.
- The potential amount of Bells received is affected by Friendship Level, but the actual amount is not (e.g. Higher levels can potentially gift 2,500 Bells but still have a chance to give a player 500 Bells as well)
- The amount of materials received is affected by Friendship Level. For example, a lower level villager may reward 15 Primary Craft Material and 2 Essence, while a higher level villager (15+) can reward 38 Primary Craft Material, 6 Essence, and two sets of 8 Secondary Craft Material.
- Favorite furniture - Villagers may say they are planning on giving a gift to another villager and ask for the player's help deciding between 3 pieces of furniture. Regardless of whether chosen correctly, there will be a small cut-scene and the player will receive friendship points.
- Alternatively, a villager may just have a conversation with the player.
- Gift and Friendship Points (Campsite only) - A villager can gift a player 500 / 2,500 Bells or materials (mostly their primary craft material and essence - higher level villagers may also gift secondary craft materials too), as well as earn friendship points with that character.
- Dressing up the Villager: 2 Points.
- Occasionally, a villager will have the option to change their outfit. If the player agrees to pick out a new outfit, the clothing menu will open - at this point, regardless of whether the player selects new clothes or backs out of the clothing menu, the villager will earn Friendship Points.
- Completing Request (Campsite only): 2-10 Points (depending on rarity of items requested)
- Having a villager in the campsite differs from outside in that they have a chance to have one request every 3 hours. Outside the camp, a villager will have three requests (but chance to not show up at one of the four locations).
- Lost Item (Campsite only): 5 points
- Occasionally, a villager in the campsite will ask the player to find a Lost Item. The villager will provide a hint regarding which location the item can be found and if the player talks to the villager again, the hint can be repeated. Once the player returns to the campsite with the Lost Item, the villager will automatically approach the player to thank them and give a reward.
- Possible locations include: OK Motors, Breezy Hollow, Lost Lure Creek, Saltwater Shores, Sunburst Island, and Marketplace.
- The Lost Item may be a pouch, book, or bottle.
- The Lost Item can be found by picking it up off on the ground, shaking the tree it's sticking out of and then picking it up, or by fishing it up.
- Sometimes The Lost Item is found before a villager asks the player.
Requests[ | ]
Starting from 6:00 AM UTC every 3 hours, villagers will rotate in each location. These villagers will have requests that a player can fulfill for Bells and Craft Materials. Fulfilling these requests will also increase a player's friendship with that villager.
Depending on the quantity/rarity of the request and a player's friendship level with a villager, the quantity of rewards differs.
Specific Requests[ | ]
The following applies to requests in which a villager will name a specific insect, fish, fruit, or flower that they want.
Player Friendship Level | Common Request | Uncommon Request |
---|---|---|
Level 0-9 | 2 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* | 3-4 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* |
Level 10-14 | 5 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* | 6-7 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* |
Level 15-70 | 8 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* | 9-10 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* |
* The random craft material can also be the villager's primary craft material
* Each reward has 8% chance of +3 Extra Primary Craft Material
Uncommon requests can happen as the second and/or third request, as x1 of any of the following:
Omakase Requests[ | ]
Also known as "chef's choice" or "you pick" requests: the villager will request a type of insect, fish, fruit, or flower, and the player can choose from their inventory what to give. The potential rewards will depend on what rarity-tier item is given to the villager, as well as the player's friendship level with the villager.
*The only fortune cookies possible to receive through fulfilling requests are: Clothing Fortune Cookie, Timmy's Fortune Cookie, and Tommy's Fortune Cookie.
Player Friendship Level | Tier 1 | Tier 2-4 |
---|---|---|
Level 0-9 | 2 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* | 3-4 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* |
Level 10-14 | 5 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* | 6-7 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* |
Level 15-70 | 8 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* | 9-10 Primary Craft Material + 1 Random Craft Material* |
* The random craft material can also be the villager's primary craft material
* Each reward has 8% chance of +3 Extra Primary Craft Material
Special Request[ | ]
At level 10 or 15, speaking with the villager will unlock a piece of furniture as part of their friendship reward and have a special request to have this specific piece of furniture crafted. Placing the furniture in the campsite will trigger an event completing the special request and reward the player with:
- +10 Friendship EXP
- 1,000 Bells
- Request Ticket x1
- Calling Card x1
Invite to Campsite[ | ]
A player can invite villagers to his or her campsite after achieving a high enough friendship level and crafting all of that villager's desired furniture, which can be viewed by going to Contacts and tapping the villager's portrait.
When a player has reached the friendship level required and has crafted all the furniture items, the player can then invite that villager (via the Contacts menu). Furniture will need to be placed in the campsite either automatically or manually, and a cutscene will play.
Afterward, once the villager has been invited, the furniture can be removed if a player desires. Inviting a villager to the campsite for the first time used to reset the gift and request cooldowns of all the villagers in the campsite afterward, but as of version 1.1.0, this has been removed.
Friendship Levels[ | ]
Friendship levels, when reached, give various rewards such as Camp Manager Level EXP, Bells, craft materials, or friendship rewards specific to each villager. The max friendship level that can be reached with a villager is 70.
The following table shows how many points are needed between friendship levels and rewards.

Unlocking New Villagers[ | ]
- Related: Camp Manager Level
When a player's camp manager level increases, villagers are unlocked. Which villager is unlocked is based on that villager's tier and excludes villagers unlocked through Gulliver and Blathers. A player will unlock all the villagers in a lower tier before unlocking villagers in a higher tier. For example, Beau is a Tier 3 while Stella is Tier 6. This means a player will always unlock Beau before Stella.
By level 76, a player will have unlocked all 128 villagers possible, and the other 218 villagers will have to be obtained through their Maps.
