Fishing Tourney 43 (Star Signs)

Fishing Tourney 43 (Star Signs) is an event featuring Jack which utilizes the Saltwater Shores location. The event introduces rare types of fish, as well as star-sign-themed rewards.

The tourney began on Oct. 12th, 2021 and the player could collect fish to complete the challenges and goals until Oct. 19th, 2021. The trophy earned for the tourney was available in the player's mailbox from Oct. 19th to Oct. 20th, 2021.

Fish could be obtained in various ways:

• By fishing with the regular fishing rod near sparkling water, for a total of 6-9 spawns per 3-hour rotation. There is a 13% chance for a single spawn to result in capturing two fish at the same time.
• By renting the Golden Rod and using it to fish near sparkling water, for a total of 6-9 spawns per 3-hour rotation. Each spawn will result in capturing two fish at the same time.
• By using the Tourney Throw Net to capture x6 random tourney fish.
• By buying a Lg. Tourney Throw Net and using it to capture x1 Gold Starfish, x4 Nebula Starfish, plus 5 random tourney fish.
• By talking to villagers at the campsite and receiving fish in addition to the normal reward.

Fish could be turned in to Jack at any point during the tourney, although once a player has at least 20 fish in their inventory, Jack would automatically collect them all.

Only one trophy is received at the end of the event, for the highest level reached.

Any tourney nets left over at the end of the event will stay in the player's inventory and may be used in future fishing tourneys at either location.

Challenges

These were timed goals which lasted the entire duration of the event period. The Event Challenges are as follows:

Reward Goal x 1 Purple Starfish collecting! Catch 5 of them. x 1 Purple Starfish collecting! Catch 12 of them. x 1 Purple Starfish collecting! Catch 7 of at least 8.5 cm. x 1 Gold Starfish collecting! Catch 15 of them. x 1 Gold Starfish collecting! Catch 40 of them. x 3 Gold Starfish collecting! Catch 20 of at least 27.0 cm. x 1 Nebula Starfish collecting! Catch 10 of them. x 1 Nebula Starfish collecting! Catch 20 of them. x 1 Nebula Starfish collecting! Catch 15 of at least 36.5 cm.

Total Size Rewards

All of the fish caught by the player and given to Jack will have their sizes added to a total combined size. When this combined size reaches a goal, the player receives a reward. Excluding trophy rewards, one of the items within that reward pool will be randomly selected.
